Theodoros 140 was a hypatos and kommerkiarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 105, p. 473. Obv.: patriarchal cross on three steps, with the invocative formula Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθ(ει) Θεοδώρῳ ὑπατ(). Rev.: image of Christ, in front of a cross, with the words Ι(η)σ(οῦς) Χ(ρι)σ(τός), and the concluding legend [καὶ] κομ(με)ρκηαρίῳ Θεσσ[αλονί]κις.
