Maurikios 5 was doulos of the Theotokos, koubikoularios, basilikos chartoularios and sakellarios; owner of a seal dateable between the mid seventh century and the mid eighth: Zacos and Veglery 932. The name and titles read: Probably identical with Maurikios, doulos of the Theotokos, koubikoularios, ostiarios and basilikos chartoularios, owner of a similar seal dateable to the same period: Zacos and Veglery 933. The name and titles read: He perhaps owned the second seal after he ceased to hold the post of sakellarios and added to his titles the dignity of ostiarios. The same person probably owned another similar seal, from the time when he was koubikoularios, chartoularios and sakellarios; this is dateable to the seventh, eighth or ninth century: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", pp. 232-233, no. 351. See also Laurent, in Byz. 5, p. 585 and Zacos and Veglery, p. 635.
