Leo 77 was a basilikos spatharios and komes of the korte of Macedonia; owner of seals dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 43.16a, b and c (a and b = Zacos and Veglery 2143a and b). "The three specimens are from the same boulloterion and their blanks are from the same stock of blanks" (Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals, loc.cit., note ). Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Λέοντ(ι) β(ασιλικῷ) σπαθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) κόμητ(ι) κόρτης Μακεδονία(ς).
