Klemens 2 was basilikos spatharokandidatos and kommerkiarios of Hellas; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century (the iconoclast period): Schlumberger, Sig., p. 167, no. 5. Obv.: patriarchal cross on three steps, with the invocative formula Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: +Κλ - ημι β(ασιλικῷ) σπ - αθαροκ(ανδιδάτᾠ (καὶ) - κουμε[ρκ(ιαρίῳ) ] - Ἑλλά[δ(οσ)].
