Bardanes 6 was an anthypatos, patrikios and basilikos protospatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 296. The name and titles read: Βαρδάνῃ ἀ[ν]θυπάτῳ πα[τ]ρικίῳ βασ[ι]λικῷ πρωτο[σπαθαρ](ίῳ). Konstantopoulos dated the seal to the eighth or ninth century but Seibt assigned it to the first half of the eighth century; see Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 35.
