Anonymus 562 was a protovestiarios who served under the emperor Theophilos 5 during the iconoclast persecution; Theophilos 5 sent Anonymus 562 and the megas kourator Anonymus 563, to put a question about the veneration of images of Christ to Ioannikios 2 (Saint Ioannikios); they then returned to the emperor with his reply: Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 45 (δυὸ τινὰς τῶν οἰκείων αὐτοῦ καὶ μεγιστάνων κατὰ καιροὺς, φῆμι δὴ τὸν πρωτοβεστιάριον καὶ τὸν κουράτωρα τὸν μέγαν). Possibly identical with Leo 18.
