Anonymus 478 was a kommerkiarios of Egripos (probably for Euripos, i.e. Euboia); owner of a seal dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth; his name is missing: Zacos and Veglery 2581. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ... .. - .ωμερκ - ηαριω τ - ου Εγριπ - που. On medieval Greek names for Euboia, see D. A.
